Terms and Conditions & Privacy Policy

General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Participation

Applicable to events organised in Switzerland by the Rose-Croix Foundation and the Lectorium Rosicrucianum Foundation, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Organiser’.

1. Scope

These terms and conditions govern all registrations, ticket orders, bookings or participation in an event organised by the Organiser. Any order or registration implies unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions. Any special terms and conditions stated on an offer, a ticket or a booking confirmation shall prevail in the event of any conflict.

2. Registration and conclusion of the contract

Registration for an event is only considered final following written or electronic confirmation from the Organiser. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse a registration without giving a reason, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

 3. Prices and payment

Prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF), unless otherwise stated, and are inclusive of VAT or exclusive of VAT, as applicable, depending on the offer. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due before the event or upon receipt of the invoice. Any delay in payment may result in reminder fees and, where applicable, the suspension of access to the event.

4. Services included

Unless otherwise stated, the price includes only the services expressly mentioned in the offer, confirmation or event description. Personal expenses, travel costs, insurance, additional refreshments or services not mentioned remain the responsibility of the participant or client.

5. Changes to the programme

The Organiser may adapt the programme, venue, speakers or timetable for organisational, technical, safety or availability reasons, provided this does not substantially affect the service promised. In the event of a significant change, the Organiser will inform participants as soon as possible.

6. Cancellation by the participant

In the event of cancellation by the participant or the client, the following charges may apply, unless more favourable special conditions apply:
up to 30 days before the event: refund of the amount paid, subject to any administrative fees;
29 to 15 days before the event: 50% of the price will be charged;
from 14 to 0 days before the event: 100% of the price will be charged.
The Organiser may adjust these amounts depending on the nature of the event, costs already incurred and the terms and conditions of third-party service providers. Costs already incurred and which are non-refundable may be charged in addition.

7. Cancellation or postponement by the Organiser

If the Organiser is required to cancel an event for a valid reason, they may, depending on the circumstances, offer a postponement, a credit note or a refund of the price paid, less the value of services already provided or irrevocably committed to. The Organiser shall not be liable for any indirect costs incurred by the participant, except in the event of gross negligence or where otherwise required by mandatory law.

8. Force majeure

Neither party shall be held liable for any delay or failure to perform due to force majeure, including but not limited to a natural disaster, fire, epidemic, decision by the authorities, strike, major breakdown or any other unforeseeable and unavoidable event. In such a case, the Organiser may postpone, adapt or cancel the event depending on the situation.

9. Conduct and safety

Participants must comply with safety guidelines, venue regulations, age restrictions, staff instructions and any rules communicated by the Organiser. The Organiser may exclude, without refund, any person whose behaviour compromises safety, the smooth running of the event or respect for other participants.

10. Liability

The Organiser shall only be liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, within the limits of applicable Swiss law. Any liability for indirect damage, loss of profit, loss of data or consequential damage is excluded to the extent permitted by law. The participant is liable for any damage they cause to facilities, equipment or third parties.

11. Personal data

The Organiser processes personal data in accordance with applicable Swiss data protection law, in particular the nLPD. The data is used for registration management, the provision of services, invoicing, event-related communication and, where applicable, to fulfil legal or contractual obligations.

12. Music and copyright

If the event involves the public use of copyright-protected music, the necessary authorisations and royalties from SUISA or the relevant organisations must be obtained as appropriate. The associated costs may be included in the price or invoiced separately, depending on the offer.

13. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by Swiss law. Subject to mandatory provisions, the place of jurisdiction is 8008 Zurich, Switzerland.
